Ryan brings a wealth of over 20 years of personal and professional real estate experience.

A former dentist, clinical instructor, and owner of a successful NW Calgary dental practice, Ryan went on to sell his practice in 2006 in order to follow his passion for real estate. He was actively involved in several land development projects in the Calgary area during the 1990s and 2000s. He is a former senior member of the Real Estate Investors Network (REIN), and the recipient of the REIN Platinum award, among many other accolades, for his performance and participation in the real estate investment community.  Ryan had been selected as one of the only fifty-one investors in Canada to be featured in the book 51 Success Stories of Canadian Real Estate Investors written by bestselling author and real estate expert Don R. Campbell.

The credit crisis in 2009 brought many challenges to the world of real estate. Ryan spent several years restructuring a couple of large development projects. It was during this time he identified a need in the market. He found that homeowners in financial distress were getting foreclosed out of their homes simply because they did not understand the process, or the remedies open to them. Because of his own experience with foreclosure on some large development projects he was able to align himself with a number of other real estate professionals and provide a valuable service to homeowners in foreclosure. This is how the Alberta Foreclosure Stoppers program came to be. Its primary goal is to help others who are struggling with the same worries, stress, and sleepless nights while dealing with possible foreclosure.  

Since its inception in 2010, the Alberta Foreclosure Stoppers Program by ABFS Consulting has helped thousands of Albertans access a wealth of information about the foreclosure process in Alberta, and has grown to provide dedicated one-on-one foreclosure assistance to those looking to stop a foreclosure from impacting their lives.
